Manufacturer: Jeol JSM-5200 Scanning Electron Microscope. The MEE JSM-5200 from JEOL has a resolution of
5nm and is adapted to acquire digital images. It also has a program for image
analysis and morphometry. The SEM allows the detailed study of cell surfaces and is also used in the analysis of
materials applied to industry and biotechnology. The equipment is about 20 years
old.
Equipment Description: A scanning electron microscope (SEM) is a type of electron microscope that produces
images of a sample by scanning the surface with a focused beam of electrons. The
electrons interact with atoms in the sample, producing various signals that contain information about the surface
topography and composition of the sample. The electron beam is scanned in a
raster scan pattern, and the position of the beam is combined with the intensity of the detected signal to produce
an image. In the most common SEM mode, secondary electrons emitted by atoms
excited by the electron beam are detected using a secondary electron detector (Everhart–Thornley detector).
The number of secondary electrons that can be detected, and thus the signal
intensity, depends, among other things, on specimen topography.
The item is currently inoperable and requires about $35k to repair. A brand new one of these electron
microscopes would be more than $100k.

Pagamento
The HST will NOT be removed from this sale under any circumstance. Buyers wishing to reclaim their HST from this sale will need to fill out a GST189 Form and submit to the Canadian Government to be refunded. Neither the seller or GovDeals will assist in this procedure.
Retirada
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.

Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
